ESA Client Injury Report Update
Austin Meier suffered a severe concussion when he was bucked off of Lil' Slim in the championship round. After being bucked off, he was stepped on and was unconscious for some time. He will be on the sidelines for 1-4 weeks.
Chris Shivers broke his left cheekbone and eye socket when his Championship Round bull in Chicago, Cowboy, pulled him down into the slide gate. He was unable to take a reride bull. He will undergo surgery to reduce swelling and fix the broken bones. He is expected to miss 2-6 weeks.
Greg Potter is out with an aggravation of a rotator cuff injury originally sustained in Nashville last year. He landed on the shoulder again in St. Louis. He underwent surgery recently and will be out of action indefinitely.
Paulo Crimber suffered a fracture of the uppermost vertebrae in his neck (C1). It does not appear, at this time, that the fracture will require surgical treatment. He is being treated in a neck brace and will undergo additional tests in a couple of weeks. He is expected to return in early June.
D. J. Domangue broke his right femur (thigh bone) during his ride when his spur hung in the bull's (Chicken on a Chain) neck as he was being thrown off to the right. He was transported to Baptist Hospital at Wake Forest University for treatment consisting of inserting a metal rod down the bone. He is out for at least 6 months.
